strikes. And it strikes and will strike again until enough courage is marshalled

and it is called by what it really is – Extreme Muslim Terror! When these words are

finally uttered in public, which is when it will have to be treated as such.

I have outlined a list of 10 challenges I consider existential for Israel’s future.

1. Demography – The drawn out annexation of Judea and Samaria is leading

to a two-nation state. Is this the end of the Zionist era?

a. Jerusalem will never be “completely united”. In the meantime, we are

losing it as Israel’s capital! Enough with the bluff!

b. The Jordan Valley, to annex or not?

c. Annexation of areas defined as C

. Is that the solution? Will the world

accept a map with 100 “Bantustans”?

d. Maybe we should nurture the conditions for two states (Palestine and

Israel) for two the nations even if the Palestinian state will only be able

to declare its independence sometime in the future? This means the

evacuation of a large portion of the settlements. Can it be done? I am sure

it can.

Maybe we should encourage unilaterally determined borders? In my opinion,

this is the only viable option, because we do not currently have, nor will we

have in the future, a Palestinian partner to end the conflict.

2. Of all western countries, Israel is the most densely populated

A crowded world is a violent world. It is a world of lofty real estate, severe

potential environmental disasters (Haifa, for example), and chaos on the

roads. I am certain the issue of the roads will soon rise to be the country’s

highest priority.

3. Convergence into Tel Aviv is Abandonment of the Periphery

The periphery in the north, south and even all the east, meaning Jerusalem,

has been abandoned. This has reached the point where it has become a

strategic risk to Israel. There are those who claim that the convergence into Tel
